Introduction
Welcome back to another installment of “Writing About Weed,” my daily journal chronicling my experiences with cannabis.
Embracing the Minimum Effective Dose
Understanding Consumption Changes
Throughout my journey with cannabis, I have noticed a significant decrease in my consumption amounts per session. With access to higher-quality cannabis, I find that I no longer need to consume as much. While the desire to consume more has been prevalent, I have learned to manage it effectively.
The Internal Struggle
This journey has involved an internal conflict between maintaining my old habits and embracing the knowledge I have gained. I have come to realize that the desire for excess often leads to overall deficiency, and I have struggled to reach for the Minimum Effective Dose due to this desire.
Breaking Old Habits
Shifting Perspectives on Consumption
For over a decade, my routine involved smoking until everything was gone. However, in the past five years, my mentality has transformed, largely due to access to higher quality cannabis and a wider product selection. As the quality of the weed improved, my need to smoke excessively diminished, although the desire remained.
Overcoming Bad Habits
I recognized that I had developed some unhealthy habits, particularly smoking nicotine alongside cannabis. As I matured, I realized I couldn’t sustain my smoking habits, especially after weaning myself off nicotine. This shift meant letting go of my preferred consumption method—blunts.
Adopting New Methods
In place of blunts, I began utilizing vaporizers to achieve my Minimum Effective Dose. After experimenting with various devices, I found my preferred equipment, which has helped me maintain a healthier routine. Although the temptation to revert to my old habits occasionally resurfaces, I am learning to navigate this change.
Moving Forward
I am committed to embracing the positive effects that cannabis and its products provide, using them to achieve my desired outcomes in life. I am grateful for the knowledge and guidance I receive and aim to be a responsible steward of this plant while leaving the rest to fate.
Conclusion
Until next time, peace.
