Researching My Favorite Cultivars
Today, I conducted research on the predominant terpenes present in the cannabis cultivars I have at home. I discovered that my favorite cultivars nearly all share the same dominant terpenes. This revelation sparked a new thought about my product selection going forward.
Identifying My Terpene Preferences
Having identified my preferred terpene profile, I’ve decided to conduct a trial where I only purchase products that contain my chosen terpenes. I’m curious to see if I can achieve a consistent flavor profile based on these terpenes. However, I suspect the answer might be more complex.
Comparing Flavor Profiles
For instance, my favorite cultivar, Tropical Z, boasts the dominant terpenes Limonene, Myrcene, and Caryophyllene. Another cultivar I have on hand, Pink Guava by Sense, contains the same terpenes, but the flavor of Tropical Z is far superior. Interestingly, the effects of both strains align closely with my preferences.
Committing to Quality Selections
Given the vast array of choices in the market, I’ve decided to focus on specific products that I know work for me. Tropical Z meets my needs in both effects and taste, so rather than gamble with random selections, I’ll stick with what I know. I have a backlog of average products, but Tropical Z stands out as exceptional.
Future Exploration
While I haven’t fully committed to this new approach, I do plan to explore other cultivars that align with my identified terpenes. I believe this strategy will lead to satisfying effects and flavors that please my palate.
Conclusion
Until next time! ✌🏾
